This week we will be finishing up our lessons over character traits and beginning to read the book "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever". We will be reviewing vocabulary, cause and effect, fact and opinion, and characterization. We will be adding sequencing and main idea and details as well. We will also finish up our subject, predicate, conjunction, and compound sentence study and learning about similes and metaphors and other poetic devices.
In science we will be classifying animals and learning about adaptations and ecosystems.
We will also be doing science learning stations with the 8th graders before Christmas
break.
Just a few reminders:
- Nov/Dec book project due Thursday, December 12
- 2 hour delayed start Wednesday, December 18
- 1:30 early release Friday, December 20
