6-10 inches..really? *Sigh*
Well, we are off to a great Monday! We were able to get in a full day of school...fingers crossed for the rest of the week. Please don't forget that "Blizzard Bags" are due by February 12th and we are in session on President's Day ( February 17th).
This week we are focusing on prefixes and suffixes. We are looking at how knowing a word's part will help to improve our vocabulary and help us to figure out the meanings of unknown words. We are discovering theme in reading this week. We will be looking at the author's message in a piece of literature.
In science we are finishing up our life science unit and looking at slow vs fast changes in an ecosystem. The unit will end with students creating a narrative about an animal who lives in an ecosystem and that is encountering a change.
