We are only a 9 days away from Thanksgiving break...WoW!!! Christmas will be here before we know it :)
This week we are learning about character traits. We know that a character's traits can be inferred through their thoughts, words, actions, and other character's thoughts, words and actions towards them. We have been practicing using evidence from the text to describe a character. We have also been studying subjects and predicates. We will conclude our learning with a Family Tradition paragraph that will be included in our All About Me books.
We are finishing up our plant unit this week and will take a unit test over plants on Thursday. A study guide will be sent home on Wednesday. We will conduct two experiments next week and review scientific processes with Thanksgiving inquiry experiments.
Interims for the second nine weeks will be sent home with the students this Friday. Hopefully my reading students have begun their nonfiction Nov/Dec book projects. Projects are due Thursday, December 12th!
